Floodway Installation on St Kitts Road
The Floodway Installation on St Kitts Road started on the 18th of November 2019 and was completed by the 29th of November 2019. The Light Regional Council contracted Remo Contractors Pty Ltd to remove the old concrete slab and excavate and install new 8.4m x 900mm x 450mm reinforced concrete box culvert.
Works also included pouring of a new 200mm reinforced concrete slab over and the installation of rock head walls to ends. To successfully complete this job, Remo Contractors had to erect temporary advice signs prior to works commencing and after locating services and surveying the site, seek approval from a council representative to establish levels.
Once works had commenced Remo Contractors utilised their own Traffic Control crew to set up road closed and diversion signs so that it was safe for residents who frequent that road.
The completed works for this job were valued at approximately $37000.
